- Since 1996: chairman of AIST (Associazione Italiana Studio Tosse)
- 2001: Coordinator of the interdisciplinary day hospital clinic for the treatment of thoraco-pulmonary diseases at Azienda Ospedaliera S. Orsola-Malpighi
