Bologna
Where we are
SISMeR’s headquarters is in Bologna, just outside one of the most important gates of the third ring of city walls, Porta Maggiore. This makes the centre well connected to the motorway, airport and train station. A stone’s throw from the city centre, at the point where Strada Maggiore becomes Via Mazzini, as it continues along the ancient route of the Via Emilia, the Clinic guarantees easy accessibility and the necessary confidentiality, its entrance being located in a quiet side-street off the busier Via Mazzini.
The facility consists of an historical four-storey building with a surface area of approximately 1000 m2.

The ground floor consists of a waiting area with two computers with free internet access and an operating theatre used for invasive diagnostic, surgical and medially-assisted procreation procedures, which is directly connected to the MAP laboratory. This sterile facility is equipped with all the most modern equipment required for handling cells and embryos: laminar flow hoods, incubators for cell and embryo culture, a micromanipulation system with reverse microscope and a planner connected to hydrogen cylinders and cryogenic containers for the freezing and thawing of oocytes and embryos. Immediately outside the two operating theatres is a comfortable Day Hospital unit.
The reception, a waiting room for patients and their accompanying persons, as well as five fully-equipped consultation rooms are located on the first floor. State-of-the-art diagnostic equipment is available in all consultation rooms.
