Icsi
What is it?
It consists of the microinjection of spermatozoa into the oocyte, during which a single sperm is injected into the cytoplasm of the oocyte using a purpose-built micromanipulator system.
Microinjection techniques make it possible to obtain in vitro fertilisation even in the presence of very poor-quality seminal fluid.
Useful information
It is recommended in the presence of very poor-quality seminal fluid parameters, i.e. with a very low number of sperm and/or spermatozoa with poor motility.
