Having analysed the patient’s medical record to identify any risk factors to be considered, the specialist will perform a specialist examination. An ultrasound examination may be performed if considered useful.
At the end of the appointment, the andrologist will outline the diagnostic workup (any tests or procedures to be performed) or treatment programme (pharmacological or surgical therapy) for the patient to follow.
During the appointment, the specialist will collect the patient’s clinical history and will examine the results of any tests or procedures performed previously.
