FISH (Fluorescence In Situ Hybridization) analysis involves the use of DNA probes labelled with fluorescent substances that bind in a way that is specific to each chromosome. This molecular genetic test makes it possible to perform an investigation on any numerical alterations in the chromosomes of male germ cells.
This test is particularly recommended in cases of repeated reproductive failures in previous cycles and it is useful for identifying the origin of high percentages of chromosomal abnormalities in embryos generated in vitro.
